Pop-Up Magazine

This "live magazine" features writers, radio producers, photographers, filmmakers, and illustrators performing new, mostly reported stories in all kinds of media mixed together. Stories about science, politics, pop culture, sports, social issues, music, business, art, crime, technology, food, and more. The night would unfold like a classic general-interest magazine, and end with the cast and the audience mingling at the lobby bar. September show available Aug 21.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman has to say about Pop-Up Magazine :

Billed as a “live magazine,” this ongoing, traveling, changing theatrical entertainment is passing briefly through San Francisco with its “fall issue.” It’s a multimedia storytelling evening that involves film, photography, sound effects, animation and a live score by Magik*Magik Orchestra. This edition’s storytellers include Ann Friedman, Emily Dreyfuss, Rowan Jacobsen and Marc Bamuthi Joseph. Performers and audience mingle after the show.
