Amber Tamblyn with Matthew Zapruder

Berkeley Arts & Letters

In her debut novel Any Man, Amber Tamblyn blends genres of poetry, prose, and elements of suspense to give shape to the shocking narratives of victims of sexual violence, mapping the destructive ways in which society perpetuates rape culture.

This is what SF/Arts curator Evan Karp had to say about Amber Tamblyn with Matthew Zapruder :

Berkeley Arts & Letters presents Amber Tamblyn, the Brooklyn-based author of three poetry collections, including “Dark Sparkler”; here, she discusses her debut novel “Any Man.” The book follows a violent serial rapist named Maude, and her male victims, whose suffering is increased by police skepticism and public shame and who eventually come together to speak out and heal. Tamblyn is in conversation with the poet Matthew Zapruder.
