Digitalia: Art & the Economy of Ideas

Museum of the African Diaspora

This exhibition explores the symbiotic relationship between technology, identity, and evolving narratives. In the face of intersecting opportunities and oppressions these works ask important questions about how digital art can both reproduce and redefine complex notions of Blackness.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about Digitalia: Art & the Economy of Ideas :

Curated by Lady PheOnix of the YesUniverse, and augmented with virtual technology provided in partnership with EYEJACK, a free app available for download on Google Play, Digitalia considers the roles of operating systems, augmented reality and various social media platforms in the creation of contemporary cultural production and so-called reality.
