Kirstin Chen

Kirstin Chen launches her new novel Bury What We Cannot Take. With her in conversation will be Nayomi Munaweera.

This is what SF/Arts curator Evan Karp had to say about Kirstin Chen :

In 1957, to prove his loyalty to the Party, 12-year-old Ah Liam Ong writes a story about his grandmother taking a hammer to a portrait of Chairman Mao, which starts a series of terrible events that form the basis for Kirstin Chen's second novel, "Bury What We Cannot Take." Author of "Soy Sauce for Beginners," Chen is joined by Nayomi Munaweera ("What Lies Between Us," "Island of a Thousand Mirrors").
