The Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival

The San Francisco Center for the Book

The San Francisco Center for the Book's 15th Annual Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival is a day-long public printmaking and book arts extravaganza that includes free hands-on printmaking and book arts activities, demonstrations, 50 arts and crafts vendors, art gallery and studio tours, and more.

This is what SF/Arts curator Laura Fraenza had to say about The Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival :

Fans of books, printing, art and history will not want to miss the free hands-on printmaking and book arts activities, studio tours and crafts sold at SF Center for the Book’s afternoon festival. The kid in all of us will thrill to the sight of artists taking a 7-ton 1924 Buffalo Springfield steamroller to the road surface of Rhode Island Street to create gigantic linocuts available for sale.
