oin the Red Panda Acrobats for an afternoon of circus arts and tumbling to kick off the Lunar New Year. End the day with Lion Dance Drumming, believed to scare away evil spirits and ensure a bright beginning to the year. After the performances, enjoy author Oliver Chin's story about Chinese zodiac animals' characteristics and discover something new about yourself, have your name written in Chinese calligraphy, and make art projects to bring you prosperity in the Year of the Dog.

The Asian Art Museum invites all to help usher in the Year of the Dog with acrobats, lion dancers, musicians and storytellers at its annual Lunar New Year Celebration. Among the activities: learning to write your name in Chinese calligraphy and traditional art projects originating from countries across Asia.
