New Work: LANZA Atelier

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

The latest installment of SFMOMA's New Work series features the architecture and furniture design of LANZA Atelier. Based in Mexico City, LANZA is an architecture studio founded in 2015 by Isabel Abascal and Alessandro Arienzo, and this marks their first solo museum exhibition in the U.S.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about New Work: LANZA Atelier :

This exhibition features three significant projects by Mexico City-based architecture firm LANZA Atelier, comprised of architects Isabel Abascal and Alessandro Arienzo and founded in 2015. With this first solo exhibition in the U.S., LANZA Atelier presents projects that reconsider Mexico City's architectural history and the role of citizen participants in activating the built environment.
