Holiday Season at the Symphony

San Francisco Symphony

The San Francisco Symphony's (SFS) 2017 holiday season at Davies Symphony Hall offers a festive array of concerts for all ages, from traditional Christmas classical concerts including Handel's Messiah, J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio and Holiday Brass to family-friendly events including A Charlie Brown Christmas--Live!, the circus feats of Cirque de la Symphonie, the Orchestra's annual Deck the Hall concerts, and the SF Symphony Youth Orchestra's annual performance of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf with Zachary Quinto narrating. See individual listings for details.

This is what SF/Arts curator Laura Fraenza had to say about Holiday Season at the Symphony :

For this year’s holiday, the SFS gives us a one gift after another, with a range of classic performances including Handel’s “Messiah” and fun family favorites like “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “Peter and the Wolf.” Add cherished artists Oakland’s Interfaith Gospel choir, singer Seal and funny-guy Seth McFarlane and our own Peaches Christ and Armistead Maupin…and others!
