The Commons is Headlands Center for the Arts new outdoor space for artists, visitors, and passersby alike. Thoughtfully increasing access to Headlands' historic campus built in 1907, The Commons provides a central stage for all to convene for social gatherings, participate in public programming and events, pause during a hike, fill up water bottles, or simply take in the view.
Headlands Center for the Arts debuted a smashing new public gathering space called The Commons in September. It features new public art commissions by Ball-Nogues Studio, Chris Kabel and Nathan Lynch. On Sunday, Oct. 15, the Headlands hosts its annual fall open house— a great opportunity to also check out the artist studios, and of course, chef Damon Little’s brilliance in the café.
