This is what SF/Arts curator Laura Fraenza had to say about Fall Open Studios 2017 :
It’s comforting to know that more than 800 artists still work in San Francisco and are willing to open their studios, inviting patrons and the public to witness their process and appreciate all that it takes to produce art here. Spread across the city over five weekends, Open Studios creates a connection between the public and artists working in every imaginable form, from painting and photography to printmaking and sculpture, metal work and more.
