Late Night with Leonard Bernstein

Green Music Center/Sonoma State University

A well-known insomniac for whom night was a time for creativity and friendship, the iconic Leonard Bernstein was often found entertaining guests late into the night. In celebration of his centennial, Late Night With Leonard Bernstein--hosted by his daughter Jamie and featuring soprano Amy Burton and pianists John Musto and Michael Boriskin--is an affectionate, multi-media portrait of the personal side of this singularly public figure.

This is what SF/Arts curator Betsy Crabtree had to say about Late Night with Leonard Bernstein :

The Green Music Center celebrates this 20th century bright musical light in a special multi-media portrait of his personal side (he was a known insomniac who loved to entertain his friends at parties that ran late into the night’— hosted by his daughter, Jamie, and featuring soprano Amy Burton and pianists John Musto and Michael Boriskin. $35.
