Archie Rand on The 613

The Contemporary Jewish Museum

Artist Archie Rand gives an intimate tour of his recently opened exhibition "The 613 by Archie Rand" and talks about his influences and inspirations, focusing on a selection of paintings.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about Archie Rand on The 613 :

This exhibition features 613 acrylic and oil paintings by Archie Rand, comprising a huge 1,700- square-foot grid in the gallery— each depicts one of the 613 traditional rules for ethical and religious behavior asked of all Jews. A digital kiosk in the gallery allows visitors to see selected images up close along with English translations. A film about Rand’s “The 613” is also on view.
