This is what SF/Arts curator Laura Fraenza had to say about 2017 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival :

A generous endowment to the citizens of San Francisco and tourists alike, the YBG Festival overflows with treasures of performance art. From its kick-off show mid-spring with Arturo O’Farrill & the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra to Halloween Hoopla, its last event mid-autumn, every performance in the festival is free for all: circus arts and kids programs, poetry, all kinds of music, dance and theater.
