Hosted by Matatu Festival. Yrsa Daley-Ward contemplates her role in a world in which she wishes to live and love, reading pieces from Alice Walker and her other favorite writers. The entire evening features open dialogue with audience members.
In celebration of “Selected Poems: 1962-1985” (Station Hill Press), Clark Coolidge gives a rare reading of his poetry. Author of more than 40 books, Coolidge is also a drummer whose peculiar knack for bursts of rhythm pervades his writing; even read in the suggestion of a monotone, his linguistics are enthralling.
