Presenting new works amidst some of her early artworks, the show will offer the breadth of her creative explorations in social behavior, identity and the impact of technology. Since the 1960's the artist has observed the changing shape of media, through advertising and developing technologies, and created works that critique this influence on human identity.

Internationally acclaimed Bay Area artist Lynn Hershman Leeson stages a welcome takeover of San Francisco’s art scene this season with a massive retrospective at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and this solo exhibition at Anglim Gilbert Gallery. A pioneering media artist with a long intrepid career, Hershman Leeson is widely celebrated for her range of work, including net-based media art.
