NPR has called Jim Shepard “One of the most perceptive, intelligent and fearless writers of fiction in America today.” Shephard is the author of seven novels and five story collections, including the newly released “The World to Come.” In town from Williamstown, Massachusetts, he has received The Story Prize and was a finalist for The National Book Award for “Like You’d Understand, Anyway.”
