All preliminary and semi-final bouts are free and open to the public. Grand Slam Finals will take place at the Nourse Theater on Saturday, April 8th at 7:00pm.
Twenty years ago Youth Speaks hosted the country’s very first teen poetry slam and started a movement. Now, nearly 10,000 people flock to venues throughout the Bay Area to witness hundreds of young poets, writers, emcees and spoken word artists astound audiences while competing in preliminary slams over the course of a couple months, culminating in a final Grand Slam at the Nourse in April.
