This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about Carrie Hott: The Key Room :

Oakland-based artist Carrie Hott developed the permanent interactive installation “The Key Room” out of years of research into the history of the Marin Headlands. The installation features a bank of telephones offering pre-recorded audio tracks, sounds and interviews from various stakeholders in local histories, as well as a current roster of the artists-in-residence.
