San Francisco Airport Museums

SFO Museum features more than twenty galleries throughout the Airport terminals displaying a rotating schedule of art, history, science, and cultural exhibitions, as well as the San Francisco Airport Commission Aviation Library and Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum, which houses a permanent collection dedicated to preserving the history of commercial aviation. Visit the website for an exhibit map.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about Public Art at SFO :

The Rosicrucian Museum & Planetarium houses 4,000 Egyptian artifacts, the largest collection on the West Coast. Items on display include four human mummies, as well as animal mummies and Predynastic pottery over 6,500 years old. The Temple of Amon at Karnak architecturally inspires the building; space films are featured regularly in its planetarium and an Alchemy Museum is in development.
