| Event Description | Electronica and noise, satire and ingenuity, beauty and humour—discover a new generation of Japanese choreographers. The highly stylized Baby Q, formed by Yoko Higashino in 2000, is known for collaborating with dancers, actors, visual artists and robot designers. For this special engagement, Yoko performs a solo with video and live music. Nibroll, an inventive artist collective, brings together film, fashion and movement to produce visually spectacular works exploring social issues of Japan’s youth culture. Sennichimae Blue Sky Dance Club, an all female dance company devoted to uncovering original physical expression with a pop sensibility, has gained popularity in Japan for embodying their name—the pure freshness of a bright blue sunny sky brimming full of vivid dreams. |
