As part of the Friday Nights at the de Young series, jazz drummer Akira Tana and his Secret Agent Men swing classic songs of the ’60s – including the “Mission Impossible” theme and “In the Heat of the Night” – on an evening celebrating the 1964 Arthur Tress photographs on view.

Event Description Some highlights of the public programs celebrating "The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk:" From a Side Car to a Cable Car: Fashion, Photography, and Music of the 1960s in Celebration of Arthur Tress: Live music: Akira Tana and the Secret Agent Men, with Gary Brown on bass. The murals room will be transformed into a "Mad Men"-era cocktail lounge with cocktail-mixing instructors and libations. In the Koret Auditorium: The Sarah Wilson Ensemble with video art by David Szlasa.
