The Bay Area is a hub for artists and graphic designers who’ve expressed a commitment to social justice through vibrant imagery. This exhibition features posters and other works by 25 local artists supporting the Occupy Movement, while supplying a larger historical context of political struggle.

Event Description Since the Occupy Movement took hold across the country in the fall of 2011, protesters in Oakland and San Francisco have produced a substantial output of art and writing in support of the principles of economic fairness, equality and rehttp://ybca.org/occupy-bay-areaform. One of the legacies of the culture of activism in the Bay Area is this rich tradition of creating imagery in support of political and social causes.
