Geometry Playground

Exploratorium

It’s time to visit the playground—the Geometry Playground, that is. Climb inside giant 3D shapes, watch yourself playing hopscotch in a huge curved mirror and explore the role of geometry in your daily life at the Exploratorium’s summer-long exhibition.

Event Details

Date Through Sept. 6
Location Exploratorium
Event Description This exhibit demonstrates that geometry is more than textbooks and calculations. Climb inside cool, giant 3D shapes or watch yourself in a big curved mirror as you try to play hopscotch. It turns out that seeing things, moving things and fitting things together are all ways of exploring geometry. In this exhibition, geometry is based on action. Sometimes you’ll use your hands, other times your entire body.
Price Free w/ admission: $15; $12 seniors & students; $10 children 4-12; free for children 3 and under
