San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
Following the unprecedented plan to house Gap founders Doris and Donald Fisher’s collection of more than 1,100 iconic 20th century works of art in a new museum expansion, this exhibit of 160 of the works, provides what the museum calls “a glimpse into SFMOMA’s future.”

This exhibition provides a glimpse into the future of SFMOMA and how the museum will be transformed by this extraordinary group of artworks. It showcases the quality and scope of the Fisher Collection, much of which has never been seen by the public. The collection includes more than 160 paintings, sculptures, photographs and video works by Alexander Calder, Chuck Close, Ellsworth Kelly, Anselm Kiefer, Roy Lichtenstein, Agnes Martin, Gerhard Richter, Cy Twombly, Andy Warhol and many more. |
